The State Administration of Cultural Heritage has completed the first assessment of 12 national archaeological parks

To further standardize and promote the site protection and national archaeological site park construction,management and scientific evaluation of national archaeological site park comprehensive benefit and function,enhance its protection,exhibition,management and service level,in 2014,the state administration of cultural heritage organization in the national archaeological site park assessment,the assessment work has been completed.The assessment examined the performance of the first 12 national archaeological parks from 2011 to 2013.The assessment basically found out the overall situation of the 12 national archaeological sites parks in the past three years,as well as the development achievements,individual characteristics and existing problems of each park,and laid a foundation for the park management authorities to further clarify the task and direction of efforts.
The total score of this evaluation is composed of three weighted parts:the score of on-site special evaluation,the score of open status evaluation and the score of satisfaction survey.Twelve national archaeological parks were evaluated by 7 groups of experts from four aspects:resource maintenance,management and service,opening status,and satisfaction survey.The third party evaluators,as participants in the whole process,made independent scores.The Daming Palace,Hanyang Mausoleum and Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum ranked the top three,according to the average score of the expert group and third-party institutions.
The evaluation results show that the construction of national archaeological parks has effectively promoted site protection,research and exhibition,provided a basic guarantee for site protection,provided favorable conditions for continuous archaeological and scientific research,and provided a platform for refined management of sites.At the same time,the central finance has effectively realized the important role of driving local and social funds to participate in site protection.
National archeological parks have made active and beneficial explorations in the utilization of ancient sites and tombs,and have shown remarkable characteristics of public welfare in terms of opening and service.The completion of the National Archaeological Park has brought about the improvement of the local environment,the relocation of some residents to new homes and the increase of employment,effectively realizing the goal of facing the society,serving the public and benefiting people's livelihood.
The construction of national archaeological sites parks has turned large sites into meaningful public cultural Spaces,and then become the highlights and landmarks of regions and cities.Their influence has become increasingly significant,and they have become an important space to inherit and perceive the traditional culture of the Chinese nation,and an important part of the inheritance system of China's excellent traditional culture.
Evaluation results at the same time,according to the current national archaeological site park there are still some problems to be solved,such as archaeology and related basic research and research achievements transformation is needed to strengthen,the site protection theory,techniques and methods need to be further in-depth exploration and research,special land policy guarantee,system guarantee,the external conditions,such as supporting the fiscal and taxation policy remains to be further improved,and so on.The evaluation report suggests that,at present and in the future,we should adhere to and develop national archaeological parks,and further deepen the theoretical research on national archaeological parks.To further improve the design of national archeological park system;Further strengthen inter-departmental communication;In order to evaluate and promote the archaeological site parks to enhance their strengths and circumvent weaknesses,improve deficiencies,and further improve the protection and management level.
This assessment is also a more comprehensive review,thinking and discussion of the construction of national archaeological parks.With the support of detailed data,managers and experts have formed a more in-depth and comprehensive new understanding of several important aspects of the development of national archaeological parks.
