On Aug.25,the delegation arrived in Tashkent,the first stop in Uzbekistan,after passing through the Uzbekistan-Uzbek border crossing.Tashkent,the largest city of East-West trade in ancient times,is also the capital of today's Uzbekistan.Tashkent is the largest city in Central Asia because it has been an important center and transportation hub since ancient times.In uzbekistan on August 26,director-general of the department of culture and sports,national history research institute,accompanied by Mr Freddy adu ShaFei interview visited the old city tashkent,ha,who's mosques,thousands of sites of xingyuan,wood stick son the place such as the national museum,the replacement of the new town in the old city to find the"silk road"of imprinting in tashkent.
A big earthquake in the 1960s forced Tashkent to move to its site,but now the almost contiguous new city and the old one are just over ten kilometres away.Even in the old city,landmark buildings such as the Hazratiyimam Mosque,Trade Market,Tashkent Stadium have been built on the old site.From the spiral viewing platform in the middle of the old city,one can look down on the whole Tashkent and look for the shadow of the old city in the memory.
The most fascinating Koranic collection is at Hazratiyyam Mosque,which contains a volume made on deerskin,several miniaturized Qurans the size of pocket watches to carry around,and a display of different versions of the Quran in the development of modern printing.Beside the mosque complex,there is also a Haze Tomb,office space of Muslim organizations,commodity market,etc.All the buildings make reasonable use of the site of the mosque.
Thousand Apricot Garden is a very Oriental name,but it is almost the name of an ancient ruins in the heart of Tashkent city.The site is an altar-like complex that began construction 2,200 years ago.Among the unearthed cultural relics,there are not only pottery pieces representing different patterns in China and the West,but also a number of ancient Chinese coins.According to Mr.Adu Shafei,he knows that the coins unearthed here are round and Chinese,and there are square characters on all sides,and there is a square hole in the coins.There is no doubt that the"Silk Road"trade has brought the Chinese currency after the Qin Dynasty to today's Tashkent.
The Tamerlan National Museum,set during the reign of Tamerlan,is based on a rich exhibition of the history,culture and architectural achievements of Tamerlan's time more than 600 years ago.All the exhibits are centered on Timur's life and the achievements of his descendants,which shows the Uzbek people's worship and respect for this national hero and ruler.
